Marillion Tickets

Oops. Note to self, hide debit card when drunk! Last night I booked 2 tickets to see Marillion in London on the 28th of January.

It’s no big deal really, although the drunkness had a large part to play in this I am still keen to see them as they are probably my favourite band of all time and one of the first bands I ever got into as a teenager. I was always going to be going to one of their gigs this summer aswell.

At least if the tickets are booked, all I have to worry about in January is the cost of Petrol. I suspect I will go with Leigh again.

Anyone who has heard of Marillion and either can’t remember what they sound like or thinks they are shit, check out their myspace page where you can listen to 4 full tracks, you may be very very surprised! www.myspace.com/marillion

Golden Glory!

Badgers 'Golden Glory'OOO00-ARRRR! Got myself a few ales when out shopping yesterday, figured I can’t be drinking Fosters forever.

Picked up a bottle of ‘Bishops Finger‘ and a bottle of ‘Golden Glory‘. Have cracked open the latter in the last half hour and have to say – its bloody lovely!!!! Very fruity taste to it.

Will definately be picking up some more of it next time we are at the supermarket.

Anyone seen my combine harvester? ;)

Montoya Impresses!

Juan Pablo MontoyaJuan Pablo Montoya has impressed in his first serious outing in the NASCAR series.

JPM was one of my favourite F1 drivers until he was sacked by Mclaren mid season this year. Still a very bad decision IMO.

Anyway, he was able to run in the top 10, alongside NASCARS frontrunners, so he has at least proved his mettle. Unfortunately his debut ended a few laps from home when he was sent spinning into the wall after being bumped from the rear.

Hosting Leigh!

I have recently started hosting my mate Leigh’s blog on my home server.

Initially he was setup on his own home server but due to circumstances beyond his control he had to stop. I stepped in and offered to host as he was having problems with his free ISP webspace and their rubbish mySQL admin console.

Welcome aboard Leigh! ;)

Muse – NEC, Birmingham – 14/11/2006

WOW! is a word that pretty much sums up seeing MUSE live!

Had a half day at work, started @ 7am so finished at 10:45am, I wish all working days finished so early! I then came home, chilled for a few hours before getting ready to leave for the gig.

I was going with Greg, Leigh and Fluff from work, so had to go around and pick each of them up in turn. Greg was first on my hitlist, he arranged the tickets back in August for us all. Then it was onto Fluff, a few miles down the road and out of town.

So some of these pics are a bit ropey. Well worth a look though as they document a great gig!

Muse Tonight! & A Word About Fluffy

Am just about to set off for Birmingham! Am off to see MUSE with Leigh, Greg and a ‘potential’ mate from work – Chris ‘Fluff’ Woolley.

Chris is actually a cock ..but he is desperate to be my friend and begged me to let him goto this gig with us …to be honest I didn’t have the heart to say no …. who knows what he would have done to himself had he had to take that much rejection?

I have told him that I have an opening for a friend and if he acts ‘cool’ tonight then he may just make it. I don’t hold much hope though …..the words Chris Woolley and ‘cool’ just don’t go together. Poor son of a bitch.

Chris reads this blog. It’s probably even his homepage.

lol :) :) :) :) :)
