I’m Not At Home!

I am writing this post from my mobile phone! Oh the joy of modern techonlogy! …………The one thing i cant seem to figure out is how to start a new paragraph….if there is a way it certainly isnt obvious. I can see it driving me mental…….. Anyway, nice to know can update the blog on the move should something truly exciting happen :-)

edit: i have figured out the new paragraph trick! I just need to write in html!!! :-)

On The Road For Another Year

Just picked the car up from the garage with another year added to it’s roadworthiness.

In total, they did the following work:

The advisory list has quite a few items for attention aswell, although none of them are serious. The worst is that the oil level is a little low, but that will be addressed when I next get a chance to put it in for a service.

So it’s all set for another year! … next stop (other than the service) is re-taxing it at the end of March, which will be another £180 .. *sigh*

Ouch …

Had a call from the garage earlier to say that the car has failed its MOT. Its going to cost £170 (including the cost of the MOT) to put everything right.

It failed on various minor things, like a blowing exhaust, the fact the the front of the exhaust was rattling as it was loose, corroded brake pipes and the one thing I did already know about – the suspension bushes. I was told about the bushes when I had the droplinks replaced last month.

Anyway – i’ve given them the go ahead and they are doing the work now.

What with the rising cost of fuel, road tax etc it really is expensive to keep a car on the road these days!

M.O.T Time

My car goes in for it’s M.O.T tomorrow morning.

I have to say, I am a little nervous! I haven’t had this car for long but I really like it and will be gutted if there are any major problems.  I can only hope it goes through with as little hassle as possible.

Fingers Crossed!

Garage Gym!

Well it’s been a while since I blogged anything and I haven’t said anything at all regarding the home gym I was intending on creating. This does not mean it hasn’t happened however!

My garage, whilst resembling a bombsite (due to the amount of ‘assembling’ thats taken place in it), now has a 4ft Punchbag, a cross trainer, an excercise bike and now a new multigym ….and here’s some proof!

The new multigym!

4ft Punchbag ...great for relieving stress on!

The Multigym should be finished on Friday. I have had an absolute nightmare assembling it as the instructions it came with are completely useless. They are for the wrong version of the multigym for a start, but besides that, it seems that they were written by someone who didn’t have english as a first language …or a 2nd language …or a 3rd language …or a 4th … !

I’ve used the punchbag the most so far. It’s great for relieving stress ..especially when you find out your 17 year old sister has just shacked up with a 38 year old man ……………………..

Wedding Website

Over the weekend I created a website to act as a central source of information for our wedding

www.danandlucyswedding.com

Our gift list will be on there within the next few days (cheers greg!) and will allow guests to reserve their gifts and remove from the list etc.

It’s all a bit basic at the minute, but will be added to over the coming weeks. It’ll do the job though!

Happy New Year!

Another year bites the dust and we are into 2008!

We went out into town last night to see the new year in. Neither myself or Lucy were up for it, so we had very low expectations for the night, but it actually proved to be pretty damn good! It was so good – I even danced!

Of course the hangover this morning was inevitable, but it passed pretty quickly. Not so sure Lucy can say the same though, she’s been a bit worse for wear all day. Bless her.

Happy New Year!!
